Four years ago, Frontline South received a letter from Houchin Elementary School asking for support. Since then, our church members have met needs and built relationships with students through fall resource fairs and monthly birthday celebrations. This year, we want to deepen our evangelistic opportunities in this community and connect these kids and their families to the life of the church.
Currently, lack of transportation is one of the barriers to connection to the local church for kids in this community. So, for six weeks this summer, Frontline South will launch a summer mission project. Each week, we will throw a block party at a neighboring apartment complex to meet families where they are, form deeper relationships, and present the gospel over a shared meal. From the summer mission project, we will launch a bus ministry that will enable us to get these kids to VBS and church on Sundays.
Together, we can help remove an obstacle to being connected to gospel community. We want 2024 to be the year that we turn up the volume on mission and evangelism in our city. We hope you'll join us as we love God, love people, and push back darkness in our city. There are a couple of ways you can jump in:
PRAY
Pray for more kids and families to come to know Jesus. Pray that the gospel is received and plants deep roots in this community. We want to see more families step into the waters of baptism and fold into our church community.
SERVE
This summer, we are looking for a team of volunteers to serve each week. We will need people to cook dinner, meet with families, present the gospel to kids, and more. Let us know if you're interested in serving here!
