Frontline Stories

We believe one of the best ways to celebrate God's faithfulness is to look back and remember what he has done. One of our favorite ways to do this is by sharing stories. As we prepared to celebrate two decades of ministry through Frontline, our team had the privilege of sitting around tables, opening photo albums, and sharing stories with one another. In doing so, our hearts were stirred with love and gratitude for the God who does mighty things with our meager offerings.

If we were to list every account of God's kindness and provision to Frontline over the last 20 years, there would be libraries full of stories. Though we can't share every story here, these are a few of our favorite ones to tell. And there are more to come that we can't wait to share with you! We hope the stories above give you a glimpse into what God has done in and through our church over the last 20 years. For more stories like this, pick up our latest copy of The Bulletin at your congregation's welcome table.

20 Sermons for 20 Years

20sermons-slide

In our 20 years as a church, our pastors preached more than three thousand sermons (sometimes three times a Sunday.) Each of the sermons was timely, sometimes prescient, and carried the heart of God for his people to know him. Not one person in our body has heard every sermon preached from a Frontline pulpit, but many of us have strong memories of God speaking through sermons and certain moments in time. So we compiled a list of 20 sermons from the last 20 years. We believe these sermons have distinctly shaped who we are as a church. Listen on Spotify or Apple Podcasts today.

20 Songs for 20 Years

Pre-save “Frontline Music: Live at the Cathedral” today. This live album is a compilation of songs written over the last 20 years of Frontline Church. It was shaped by our prayers and our longings for God to meet us. We hope these songs will help you lift your eyes and worship Jesus, whether you find yourself on a mountaintop or in a valley. Pre-save wherever you listen to music.

Engaging Frontline's Anniversary in Community

You’re invited to join us as we prepare our hearts for Frontline’s 20th anniversary. Anniversaries provide us with an opportunity to look back with gratitude and pray forward in faith. Use this short guide bleow to reflect with those in your community group, discipleship group, or around your dinner table.

Looking Back in Gratitude

When God worked a miracle for the people of Israel, they would often raise stone pillars as monuments of God’s work. The idea was to look at the stone and remember what kind of God they worshipped. The Church is also called to the practice of remembering God’s grace and power. (Eph. 2:11-14)

Reflection Questions

  • How long have you been a part of Frontline? What’s one of your favorite memories? Are there any sermons, events, or moments that stand out?
  • Can you share a story of a time when God worked in your life through Christian community? How can we celebrate with you?

Praying Forward in Faith

Consider the following questions:

  • What hopes do you have for our church in the future?
  • As we look to the future, how might we pray for our church?

Spend some time in prayer.

If God gives you any Scriptures, impressions, or pictures for the church, please share them with your community group leader.

  • Thank God for his faithfulness to you and Frontline Church.
  • Ask God to empower our church to faithfully proclaim the gospel and demonstrate the kingdom for another 20 years.
  • Pray God would continue to strengthen and sanctify our elders, deacons, and leaders. Pray God would raise up even more faithful and godly leaders in the years to come.
