Baby dedications are an invitation for parents to commit their child to God before the church, to receive the body's prayers for your child, and prayers for your parenting to be shaped by the gospel.
While it does not take the place of salvation, dedicating your child before the congregation signifies your intentions to raise your children in the gospel.
