Ash Wednesday is The first day of Lent. It helps us begin the 40-day season of Lent with a day of confession of sin and meditation on our frailty and need for a savior. It is also a day of assurance and gratitude as we remember how Christ conquered death and sin through his life, death, and resurrection.
