One of the gifts of the church calendar is that it helps us rehearse the gospel over and over again, year in and year out. With Advent approaching, we are entering a truly magical time of year, remembering our need for a savior and the “grand miracle,” as C.S. Lewis calls it, when God sent Jesus at the Incarnation.

So, as parents, how do we intentionally enter the season of Advent with our kids’ discipleship in mind? What are we supposed to do about jolly old St. Nick?
